With version 4.0, Opera began using a cross-platform core. Opera 5, released at the end of 2000, was ad-supported instead of being shareware with a free trial period. Mac requirements are System 7.5.3 through 9.2.x (there is no native Mac OS X support, but it will run in Classic Mode with OS X 10.4.11 and earlier).
ICab is a web browser for Mac OS by Alexander Clauss, derived from Crystal Atari Browser (CAB) for Atari TOS compatible computers. It was one of the few browsers still updated for the classic Mac OS prior to that version being discontinued after version 3.0.5 in 2008; today Classilla is the only browser still maintained for that OS. The downloadable product is fully functional, but is nagware. Get a faster, better browser. Opera's free VPN, Ad Blocker, integrated messengers and private mode help you browse securely and smoothly. Share files instantly between your desktop and mobile browsers and experience web 3.0 with a free cryptowallet. Released today on the App Store, Coast is a new browser by Opera based on iOS’ WebKit engine and built exclusively for the iPad. Coast is, according to Opera, “the result of its designers tossing out 20 years of preconceptions about what a browser should be”, as it tries to reimagine how a tablet browser should be in 2013 without toolbars, buttons, and URL fields but with a focus on.

Opera Coast was a free web browser developed for iOS devices by Opera Software. The browser was not based on any former product of Opera and was written from scratch. It was also designed for touch while traditional browser buttons and components such as tabs, history, and bookmarks are eliminated and replaced by gestures.[1][2][3]
History[edit]
Opera Coast was first released in September 2013. An iPhone version followed in April 2014. [4]
In February 2016 Opera announced an Android version of the Browser. [5]
Coast was discontinued and removed from the App Store by Opera in August 2017. [6][7]
Security[edit]
An embedded security mechanism has been implemented in Opera Coast which includes several security aspects, like certificates, site reputation, URLs, browsing history, and page content, and the user will be warned if any risk is detected.[1][2][8]
Synchronization[edit]
Opera Coast is designed to automatically perform synchronization using iCloud. The synchronization keeps the tiles on the home screen to be same.[1][2]
Localization[edit]
Coast was available in 32 languages.

Following the March 28 U.S. Congress vote to repeal restrictions preventing Internet Service Providers from selling personal browsing data and information, interest in VPN’s greatly increased. Browser maker Opera claims interest in their Mac browser, which includes a built-in, free VPN, more than doubled in just a few days.
How to Use the Opera Browser’s Built-In Free VPN on Your Mac
Since the VPN is included in the Opera browser, it is quite easy to enable it, allowing users to protect their online privacy and data. Here’s how to use it.
1.) Download the Opera browser for Mac (DUH!)

3.) Go to “Preferences”
4.) Click “Privacy & Security” and then toggle the free VPN on
5.) An icon labeled “VPN” will appear in the browser to the left of the address field, from which you can activate the VPN and choose your preferred location.
You can also choose to have the Opera browser automatically select the optimal server for your location, based on factors such as network speed, latency, location, and server capacity.

It should be noted that only your browsing through the Opera browser is protected by the VPN connection. Your other Internet usage, such as emails and other online tasks are still business as usual.
Opera For Mac Os
Opera says their VPN feature in the browser is a “no-log service,” meaning information on their users is not stored outside of the basic information needed to set up their account and make sure the VPN is working correctly. The VPN service is provided by SurfEasy Inc., which is a Canadian company operating under Canadian privacy laws.
